Beard, Marci Bring Marketing, Neuroscience Expertise to Turner Ad Lab Board

Randall Beard, President of Nielsen’s Global Innovation Practice, and Dr. Carl Marci, Chief Neuroscientist and EVP of Nielsen Consumer Neuroscience, have been selected by Turner to join the advisory board of Turner Ad Lab.

Turner announced the formation of Turner Ad Lab, an alliance between the company and the industry, in January of this year. Turner Ad Lab, which aims to refine the linear TV and digital video ad experience for both consumers and advertisers, and its board of directors have assembled an advisory board with the purpose of providing guidance on the future trajectory of advertising, with its many challenges and opportunities.

“In an industry of increased fragmentation and the challenges and opportunities that presents, I am excited to join an advisory board with this esteemed group of highly insightful and innovative collaborators,” said Randall Beard, President of Nielsen’s Global Innovation Practice.

The advisory board, which Beard and Marci join, have expertise across broad practice areas, including academia, media and technology, and will recommend research topics that will ultimately benefit the entire industry.

“I am looking forward to the insights and ideas that will be discussed as part of this advisory board. With the diverse expertise and practice areas that will be brought to the table, creative and visionary ideas will be brought forth, and it will be a boon to the media establishment at large,” said Dr. Carl Marci, Chief Neuroscientist and EVP of Nielsen Consumer Neuroscience.

Beard and Marci join visionary executives from companies and organizations such as Turner, Cox Communications, the Advertising Research Foundation, Starcom, Magna Global, Horizon Media, Media Science and others. Professors from Syracuse University and The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania will also join the 28-member advisory board.
