Gender balance is essential for facing the 21st-century business challenges, and we are resolutely facing these challenges. Therefore, we are delighted to announce that Nielsen has just signed a yearly agreement with the European organization LEAD (Leading Executives Advancing Diversity) Networks as part of the initiatives of our Women in Nielsen (WIN) employee resource group (ERG).
The mission of the LEAD Network is to attract, retain and advance women in the retail and consumer goods industry in Europe through education, leadership and business development.
“As a thought leader in the industry, Nielsen is playing a strategic role to help us advance women in the CPG and Retail sector in Europe. We are proud to welcome Nielsen as a Foundation Partner of the LEAD Network, helping us bring our mission to life,” said Sharon Jeske, Executive Director, LEAD Network.
By partnering with LEAD Network, we gain insights and establish connections to strengthen our diversity network and to help develop our leaders, especially women leaders, with shared learnings and best practices, as well as events and networking.
“At Nielsen, we encourage an inclusive business culture that supports, connects and empowers women to have successful and fulfilling careers. By joining the LEAD Network, we at Nielsen, feel that the exchange of ideas and best practices amongst members will be of inestimable value as we work together to make our workplaces more reflective of the gender diversity that defines us,” said Cecilie Westh, WIN Europe Lead, Nielsen.
As part of our LEAD Network agreement, we are structuring coordination between Nielsen and LEAD. Nielsen’s Odile Nonat, Retailers’ Collaborative Solutions, Commercial Director Western Europe, Canada & Pacific, and Silke Trost, Marketing & Communications Business Partner, Lead Markets, will be our LEAD Partner ambassadors and work closely with the LEAD Network in order to maximize joint business plans and engagement during the year.
