The Launch mobile application (the “App”), provided by The Nielsen Company (U.S.), LLC (“Nielsen”, “we”, or “us”), is intended for use by registered event attendees and is designed to provide users with valuable event-related information, including schedules/agendas, speaker bios, and interactive event maps.
Nielsen takes your privacy very seriously, and this Privacy Notice explains how we collect, use, share, and protect the information we may gather about you in connection with your use of the App. Please note that this Privacy Notice applies only to your use of this App and not to your participation in any panels, surveys, or online services administered or provided by Nielsen.
This App may collect personal information – information that alone or in combination with other information identifies you as an individual, such as your name, home postal address, or personal email address. We will never use your personal information to advertise, promote, or market third-party goods or services to you. Additionally, we will not license, publish, or sell any information collected from you that can be tied to you as an individual user.
We have implemented a variety of safeguards that are designed to help ensure that the information collected through the App is protected from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
The App is not designed to affect your mobile device experience or conflict with other software you have running on your mobile device.

We collect information relating to you, your mobile device, and your use of the App from a variety of sources. Additional details about the information we may collect and our sources can be found below.
As part of the Launch event registration process, you will be asked for relevant personal information, including your name, business email address, and mobile phone number. We will use this information to create your user account in the App.
When you download the App on your mobile device and create a profile, we will collect additional information that you voluntarily post or upload to the App, such as photos/videos/recordings, status updates, “check ins” at event sessions, and answers to poll questions.
We do not seek sensitive personal information (e.g., information relating to an individual’s racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or other similar beliefs, health, criminal background, trade union membership) from users of the App. We ask that users of the App not post or upload any sensitive personal information to the App.
Device information: We may collect standard technical information about your device when you use the App, including the unique device identifier, device model, operating system and version, and media access control (MAC) address. We use this information for the purpose of determining and/or improving compatibility between your mobile device and the App as well as system administration.
Log and usage data: In order to help us improve our service, we automatically record certain information created by your use of the App, such as your device phone number, Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, browser language, pages visited, and access dates and times.

All of these disclosures may result in the transfer of your information to countries or regions with data protection laws that differ from those in your country of residence. We understand the importance of protecting children’s privacy. This App is not directed at children, and we do not intend to collect personal information about anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that we have collected the personal information of a child, we will take reasonable steps to delete it immediately.
Nielsen has in place reasonable organizational, technical, and administrative measures that are designed to protect your information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction while it is under our control. However, please be aware that storage and communication of data cannot always be one hundred percent secure.
We will retain your information as long as is necessary for the fulfillment of the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice, unless a longer retention period is required or allowed by law.
